Maria A. Ressa

Maria A. Ressa is a Filipino journalist and CEO and co-founder of Rappler, a social news network that combines traditional journalism with crowdsourcing technology and social media. She served as the head of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs Department from 2004-2010. Before joining ABS-CBN, Ms. Ressa worked for Cable News Network (CNN) for nearly two decades, serving as Manila Bureau Chief from 1988–1995 and as Jakarta Bureau Chief from 1995-2005. She traveled extensively and reported from her base in Southeast Asia as well as India, Pakistan, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia and the United States. As CNN’s lead investigative reporter in Asia, she specialized in investigating terrorist networks. She is also the author of Seeds of Terror, a book published by Free Press that contains blow-by-blow account of the hideouts of Al-Qaeda in Asia.

Ron Hose was Founding Partner at Innovation Endeavors, an early stage venture capital fund backed by Eric Schmidt. Prior to IE, Ron was the Co-Founder and CTO of TokBox, a consumer video conferencing company serving millions of video minutes daily to customers connecting from around the globe. TokBox is backed by Sequoia Capital, Bain Capital, Stanford University and some of Silicon Valleys best known angel investors. Ron Holds a Bachelors and Masters degree from Cornell University, where he graduated at the top of his class. While at Cornell, Ron was one of the founding members of the autonomous flight team, which received funding from Microsoft and Cornell. Ron is an active investor and adviser to several Silicon Valley start-ups.

Kevin Dewalt

He has been an active advocate of the Lean Startup movement and worked with best minds in the business including Eric Ries, Steve Blank, Ash Maurya, and Alex Osterwalder to found and organize meetup groups (DC, Beijing), conduct workshops (Stanford, MIT, Carnegie-Mellon), and ​launched the first StartupWeekend NEXT ​program in China. Calen Legaspi

He is currently on his 6th term as part of the board for the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA), serving as the Technology Director and head of the Technology Council.

A known champion for education reform, he has initiated and participated in programs that support the Philippine academe: by providing free training and enablement seminars to teachers through the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE), authoring technology training modules for TESDA, as well as contributing to other programs aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of IT educators in the Philippines.
